Job Role

The EMEA Surveillance Department forms an integral part of the Compliance Division. This department plays a pivotal role in safeguarding MUFG EMEA's assets, employees, clients, and reputation by ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements, compliance standards, and internal policies.

This individual will be responsible for reviewing and closing electronic communication alerts for the EMEA region. Responsibilities include conducting reviews as per established SOPs, analyzing alerts generated from surveillance systems, performing audio surveillance, documenting rationales with accurate commentary, modifying procedures, and submitting them for approval when needed.

A high degree of written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, strong analytical, and problem-solving skills are required. The ability to exercise sound judgment and escalate issues appropriately, and establish/maintain strong relationships across multiple departments is crucial.

Candidates should possess a bachelor's degree and 8-10 years of experience in Financial Services or Banking Compliance. Expertise in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Word, is essential. Proficiency in Japanese and/or French is desirable.
