We are seeking a skilled Freelance Statistical Modeler to join our team of experienced professionals.

The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 6+ years of experience in statistical modeling and analytics, with expertise in SAS and Python programming languages.

The selected candidate will be responsible for building, validating, and maintaining statistical/predictive models using SAS and Python. Additionally, they will be expected to lead the migration of SAS code to Python, ensure best practices, and mentor junior team members on Python adoption and coding practices.

The successful candidate must possess excellent leadership skills, strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, and the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders.

Key responsibilities:

  • Modeling & Analytics: Develop, validate, and maintain statistical/predictive models using SAS and Python.
  • Migration Leadership: Lead the migration of SAS code to Python, ensuring seamless transition and minimal disruption.
  • Code Translation: Translate SAS macros, procedures, and workflows into optimized Python equivalents.
  • Best Practices: Define and implement best practices for modeling standards, workflows, and performance monitoring frameworks.
  • Mentorship: Guide junior team members on Python adoption, coding practices, and analytics workflows.

Required Skills:

  • SAS Mastery: Strong proficiency in Base SAS, SAS/STAT, Enterprise Miner, Visual Analytics, PROC SQL, and macros.
  • Python Expertise: Proficiency in pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn, matplotlib, seaborn, and PySpark (bonus).
  • Statistical Strength: Regression, forecasting, clustering, classification, A/B testing, and causal inference.
  • Migration Experience: Proven success leading large-scale SAS to Python transitions.
  • Leadership: Excellent leadership skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders and deliver high-impact results.

Work Arrangement:

  • 100% remote work arrangement.
  • Payments made monthly.
  • Minimum 35 hours of work per week.
