Job Title:

  • Senior Financial Modeling Specialist

Job Description:

  • This is a full-time role with 8+ years of experience expected in financial modeling and risk assessment.
  • The ideal candidate will have expertise in credit risk management, economic capital calculation, and regulatory compliance related to IFRS 9 standard.
  • The job requires a graduate or postgraduate degree and proficiency in advanced Excel, VBA, Python, R, and SAS for data analysis and modeling.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead and manage consulting engagements with leading financial institutions on areas such as credit risk model development, economic capital calculation, and regulatory compliance.
  2. Develop and apply models related to default and recovery rate modelling including roll rate analysis, periodic default rates, and statistical methods.
  3. Design and monitor detailed project plans for assigned engagements and provide regular updates to business unit leaders.

Required Skills:

  • Advanced Excel skills, VBA programming, and experience with financial modeling tools.
  • Proficiency in Python, R, and SAS for data analysis and statistical modeling.
  • Strong knowledge of credit risk management, economic capital calculation, and regulatory compliance related to IFRS 9 standard.

Selection Process:

  • Personal interviews with at least 2-3 rounds.
  • Final discussion on career and compensation.

Preparation Required:

  1. Understanding of products/exposures in the financial services industry.
  2. Demonstrate knowledge about credit risk modeling, PD, LGD, ECL, etc.
  3. Demonstrate experience of various methodologies used for modeling default rates, credit scores, recovery rates, etc.
