Mathematical Researcher Opportunity

We are seeking highly skilled mathematical researchers to contribute to the advancement and deployment of powerful AI systems.

The role involves fine-tuning and evaluating large language models (LLMs) to improve their ability to understand and solve complex math problems. Your work will have a direct impact on the future of language model performance in mathematics and STEM fields.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Determine the number of real symmetric matrices of rank 2 whose entries are only 0 or 1.
  • Find the number of subsets of a set with specific properties.
  • Discover distinct numbers that meet certain conditions.

These tasks are designed to identify model weaknesses and improve training and evaluation workflows.

Requirements:
  • Academic Background: PhD/Postdoc in Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong ability to solve advanced math problems with clear reasoning.
  • Communication Skills: Clear explanation of complex topics and precise feedback.
  • Research Independence: Ability to work independently and participate actively in team discussions.
  • Technical Setup: Reliable computer and internet setup for remote assignments.

This is a contractor assignment/freelancer position with a minimum commitment of 4 hours per day and 20 hours per week. The contract duration is 1 month, with the option to extend based on performance.
