Job Title: Portfolio Manager

About the Role:
  • The role involves deploying surplus cash efficiently.
  • Managing funds to achieve targeted returns on investments is a key responsibility.
  • A dedicated investment desk adheres to an investment policy, making informed decisions on investments.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct in-depth analysis of company and sector dynamics, creating detailed financial models and monitoring assigned companies.
  • Analyze financial reports, including balance sheets and cash flow statements.
  • Develop investment theses based on financial statement analysis when required.
  • Perform market and portfolio analysis to support equity investment decisions.
  • Provide ongoing coverage of allocated industries and individual stocks, monitoring earnings results, corporate actions, and macro events.
  • Liaise with backoffice teams to ensure timely trade processing.
  • Study and analyze market conditions, conducting research on financial, social, and economic data and information.
  • Maintain portfolios, updating and monitoring their performance.
  • Evaluate startup companies, preparing detailed reports to highlight opportunities and risks, and justify investment theses.
  • Stay up-to-date on industry developments and changes in the regulatory environment.
Interfaces:
  • Internal Interfaces: Front office of Treasury Team, Group Treasury Head, Finance Team across Group.
  • External Interfaces: Wealth Advisors, Mutual Funds, Auditors, Consultants.
Requirements:
  • Chartered Accountant or Full-time MBA Finance with minimum 8-12 years of experience.
  • Working experience of SAP.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.).
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Good listening skills.
