Job Overview

We are seeking a seasoned Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to oversee the management of our mission-critical cloud infrastructure. This role requires providing 24x7 managed support for these cloud environments, overseeing a team and ensuring that customer service level agreements exceed benchmarks.

This position entails building relationships with partners to identify opportunities and ensure that customer SLAs are met consistently. Additionally, you will be responsible for resolving issues holistically by focusing on the complete problem and escalating to management when necessary.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on knowledge of Linux, MySQL, VMware/KVM, and other on-prem cloud technologies. They will also possess experience in handling teams of at least four people and excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to the team as needed.
  • Act as the L3 in case of escalations and resolve issues using a hands-on approach.
  • Interact with customers via tickets, calls, emails, and periodic sync-up calls.
  • Evaluate the performance of team members on a periodic basis and provide feedback to the team and HR.

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of experience in providing L3 technical support with a cloud-first data center or a cloud support services organization.
  • In-depth knowledge of cloud, containers, virtualization, and its supporting technology and concepts.
  • Hands-on knowledge of Linux, MySQL, VMware/KVM, and any on-prem cloud technology.
  • In-depth experience on any monitoring system (Prometheus/Nagios/Zabbix/SolarWinds/ManageEngine etc.).
  • Good working knowledge of Storage, Networking, Backup, Bash.
  • Excellent communication skills with clear verbal and written articulation.
  • Experience in handling a team of minimum 4 people in the above role.
  • Relevant bachelor's degree.
  • 10 plus years of experience.
