Job Title: Senior Engineering Manager

We are seeking a highly experienced and accomplished Senior Engineering Manager to lead our engineering teams. This individual will be responsible for driving the development of scalable low-latency applications in a service-oriented architecture (SOA) and microservices environment.

  • The successful candidate will have a proven track record of successfully leading multiple teams in strategic projects, with 18+ years full stack Java development experience in large-scale low-latency fintech systems.
  • They will also have expertise in Java EE, Spring Framework, Spring Boot, Apache Tomcat, and messaging technologies like JMS and Kafka.
  • A strong understanding of JVM internals, memory management, and performance tuning is essential for this role.

About the Role:

  • This position involves overseeing application performance, reliability, and adherence to SLAs.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and technical excellence across teams.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to engineers at all levels to promote career growth and skill development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive the design, development, testing, and deployment of scalable low-latency applications.
  • Champion best practices in software engineering, including Agile methodologies, Test-Driven Development (TDD), Continuous Integration/Delivery (CI/CD), and Pair Programming.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to define technical strategy, set priorities, and ensure high-quality execution aligned with business objectives.

Requirements:

  • 18+ years full stack Java development experience in large-scale low-latency fintech systems.
  • 5+ years hands-on engineering management experience, successfully leading multiple teams in strategic projects.
  • Expertise in Java EE, Spring Framework, Spring Boot, Apache Tomcat, and messaging technologies like JMS and Kafka.
  • Strong understanding of JVM internals, memory management, and performance tuning.
