Vedanta Limited is a leading player in the Aluminium sector, committed to delivering excellence and innovation in all its operations. We are seeking an experienced leader to join our team as Head Security – Jamkhani Coal Mines.

Job Description

We are looking for a highly skilled professional with strong business acumen to lead our security efforts at the Jamkhani Coal Mines. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our business by fostering positive relationships with various stakeholders, including local communities.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Develop and implement effective security strategies to mitigate risks and ensure the safety of our employees and assets.
  2. Cultivate strong relationships with local communities and businesses to promote a culture of cooperation and mutual respect.
  3. Oversee the digitization of our mine security systems to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  4. Provide strategic guidance on emerging threats and develop policies to address them.
  5. Assess operational needs and develop infrastructure development roadmaps for the mine gate and fencing.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, along with significant experience in industrial security.
  • A minimum of 12-15 years of experience in plant security or related roles, preferably within the mining industry or manufacturing environment.
  • Strong leadership skills, excellent organizational and communication skills, and proficiency in relevant software applications.
