Commissioning Manager Job Overview

The Commissioning Manager plays a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless integration of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems within data centres. This position requires a high degree of technical expertise, effective communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading Testing and Commissioning activities for MEP systems in data centre projects.
  • Coordinating, monitoring, and executing commissioning activities efficiently.
  • Conducting FWT/FAT inspections to ensure quality material delivery and adherence to approved engineering drawings and TDS.
  • Performing QA/QC checks and assisting in energization, SOO, and IST as per approved scripts and procedures.
  • Utilizing digital tools such as ACC, COMPASS, Nexus, Cx Alloy for tracking and maintaining visibility to stakeholders.
  • Managing closing of observations from stakeholders and IRLs for smooth commissioning of data centres.
  • Developing systems and procedures to optimize efficiency, quality, and customer satisfaction.
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Minimum 10-12 years of experience in MEP Testing and Commissioning.
  • BE Electrical / Mechanical qualification.
  • Strong experience in MEP Testing and Commissioning for data centres.
  • Proven knowledge of quality checks, coordination, and monitoring.
  • Hands-on experience with CxA and digital commissioning tools.
  • Ability to work in cross-functional teams and manage multiple stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience in Data Centre projects is mandatory.
  • Excellent communication skills for coordination with clients and internal teams.
