Senior Hospital Administrator

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Hospital Administrator to join our team. As a key member of our hospital operations, you will play a vital role in driving business growth and profitability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategic revenue-generating programs across various departments.
  • Collaborate with the Medical Director to forecast annual operating plans and identify profitable service lines.
  • Liaise with stakeholders to manage VIP patients and visitors according to operational protocols.
  • Cultivate patient feedback and work closely with the Medical Director to address concerns.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory requirements within the unit.
  • Oversee food and beverage, general stores, maintenance, and biomedical services.
  • Authorise and manage local purchases after receiving approval from the Medical Director.
  • Monitor costs at all levels of hospital operations, controlling expenses and generating revenue.
  • Plan and review operational tasks such as infrastructure growth, recruiting, performance reviews, and compensation, ensuring all departments stay within budget.
  • Partner with central procurement and pharmacy functions to optimise costs.
  • Facilitate consensus among department heads on operational matters prior to budget development.
  • Present budgets to corporate with the Medical Director.
  • Manage consultant pay-outs through the accounts department in consultation with the Medical Director.
  • Develop and implement policies, procedures, and best practices in hospital administration, including corporate services, medical insurance, material management, pharmacy management, and facility management.
  • Work closely with clinical and non-clinical functions to ensure high-quality healthcare delivery.
  • Maintain process compliance across functional departments as scheduled.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Master's degree in Healthcare Administration (MHA) or related field.
  • A minimum of 8-15 years of experience as a Unit Head in hospitals.
