This leadership role provides direction for those involved in developing and optimizing IT functions that support business processes. Responsibilities include analysis, selection and modification of enterprise systems, application software, installation of network hardware / software and database management. The goal is to protect data, tools and information systems while ensuring infrastructure architecture standards maximize efficiency and platform compatibility.
The ideal candidate will have subject matter knowledge of user groups to practically apply system characteristics. They should be able to coordinate delivery of services to user groups and ensure uninterrupted IT service. Typically focused on internal IT service delivery for employees, but may involve external clients if delivering company-hosted solutions.
Frequent interactions require effective communication and presentation of results/recommendations. The manager guides teams, is responsible for results including budgets, methods, and staffing, and oversees professionals who may supervise subordinate supervisors.
This position involves managing coordination activities for a discipline or department. Guiding teams, overseeing professionals, and being responsible for results are key aspects of this role.
Responsibilities Include:
- Determines resources needed to meet goals and deliver tactical results
- Provides guidance to subordinates within established company policies
- Recommends changes to policies and establishes procedures affecting immediate organization(s)
- Works on assignments of diverse scope requiring problem solving with data and various factors
- Leads cooperative efforts with stakeholders outside own area of expertise
- Manages the coordination of activities for a discipline or department
- Guides team and is responsible for results including budgets, methods, and staffing
- Oversees professionals and may be responsible for subordinate supervisors
Key Requirements:
- Familiarity and experience with HR & Talent Acquisition programs, systems and processes
- Ability to work effectively with HR leadership & stakeholders to align with business objectives, prioritize tasks, and deliver successful projects
- Proven interpersonal and change management skills to overcome resistance to new processes and technologies
- Strong business acumen to recommend optimal solutions to complex business problems by critically evaluating user requests and true business needs
- Self-starter with ability to produce positive results under tight deadlines with limited resources
- Advanced knowledge and experience in Project Management Methodologies
- Ability to think critically and creatively in developing solutions to challenges
- Proven ability to collaborate well with cross-functional teams
- Strong attention to detail with advanced analytical and problem-solving skills
- Advanced MS Office skills including Excel, PowerPoint, Project and Visio
- Advanced communication and presentation skills
- Capable of performing well in a fast-paced, high growth environment
- Experience in life sciences, biotechnology, high-tech or related field is preferred; Lean Six Sigma experience is a plus
- Bachelor's degree required preferably in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, Math, or related field
Experience/Education:
- Typically requires a Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 8 years of related experience with 1-3 years of Management experience
