Senior Reliability Engineer: Mission Critical Infrastructure

We're seeking a seasoned Senior Reliability Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our infrastructure group, you'll be responsible for ensuring the high availability and performance of our systems.

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of cloud computing and a proven track record of designing, implementing, and managing large-scale distributed systems. You should be well-versed in SRE best practices and have experience with monitoring, logging, and incident response.

You'll work closely with our engineering teams to identify areas for improvement and implement changes that enhance reliability, scalability, and performance. Your expertise will be invaluable in helping us drive business outcomes and achieve our goals.

">Required Skills and Qualifications">
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering (or equivalent experience)
  • 12+ years of experience in production operations/platform/SRE, including 5+ years on Azure
  • Deep knowledge of PostgreSQL, including HA/DR, logical/physical replication, performance tuning, and connection pooling
  • Expertise in Azure core services, including AKS, Front Door/App Gateway, API Management, VNets/NSGs/Private Link, Storage, Key Vault, Redis, and Service Bus/Event Hubs
  • Experience with observability tools, such as Azure Monitor/App Insights, Log Analytics, Prometheus/Grafana, and OpenTelemetry
  • Strong understanding of IaC and automation, including Terraform and/or Bicep, PowerShell and Python, and GitOps (Flux/Argo)
  • Proven incident leadership skills at scale, including blameless postmortems and SLO/error-budget governance with change gating
  • Excellent communication and mentorship skills

Preferred qualifications include Apache NiFi, Apache Flink, Apache Kafka or Redpanda experience, Azure Solutions Architect Expert certification, ITSM and on-call tooling experience, compliance/SecOps expertise, and multi-tenant SaaS and cost optimization experience.
