Senior Manager Vehicle and Energy Platform Software

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of vehicle platform and energy platform software engineers in Bangalore, focusing on capability development.
  • Develop location strategy for India, aligning with global objectives and collaborating with global leaders.
  • Deliver embedded software products and tooling owned by JLR India.
  • Seamlessly collaborate across organizational boundaries, influencing key stakeholders.
  • Manage projects efficiently, communicating effectively under pressure.

Requirements:

  • Proven expertise in delivering automotive or related software solutions.
  • Bachelor's degree in technological engineering or computer science.
  • At least 10 years of experience in automotive or related embedded software.
  • Understanding of Model-Based design using Simulink or equivalent.
  • Experience in developing robust control algorithms and quality tools.
  • Proven leadership skills aligned with JLR's Creator's Code.
  • Ability to build relationships at all business levels.
  • Strong technical, communication, and analytical abilities.
  • Timely production of work products and effective handling of concurrent programs.
  • Independence, teamwork, and collaborative environment capabilities.
  • Basics of automotive electronic hardware and ISO26262 understanding.
  • Quality managed environment experience (e.g. A-SPICE).

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in technological engineering or computer science.
  • Automotive development experience (keywords – real-time, AutoSAR, automotive networks, etc).
  • Data analytics, prognostic, and diagnostic experience.
  • Competency in project management tools (waterfall and agile – e.g JIRA, Confluence or similar).
  • Propulsion technologies knowledge and experience.
  • Functional Safety (ISO26262) experience.
