Vehicle and Energy Platform Software Leader

We are developing the next generation of vehicles, leveraging cutting-edge technology and techniques to shape the future of mobility.


Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

- You will lead a team of vehicle platform and energy platform software engineers deployed at a global location, focusing on capability development.
- Develop strategic plans for our global location in alignment with our corporate strategy and collaborate with other global leaders to drive local partnerships.
- Oversee the delivery of our company owned embedded software products and tooling.
- Effective leadership and teamwork are essential for this role, requiring the ability to work seamlessly across organisational boundaries and influence key stakeholders within the business.
- Timely project delivery is crucial, with strong communication skills necessary to report progress and work efficiently under pressure.


Essential Skills and Qualifications
  • Proven Expertise: Delivering automotive or related software solutions with a proven track record.
  • Education: Bachelor degree in a technological engineering or computer science field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 10 years related experience in automotive or related embedded software.
  • Technical Skills: Proven understanding of Model Based design using Simulink or equivalent tools like SCADA.
  • Development Experience: Leading teams developing robust control algorithms – turning high-level requirements into control code.
  • Quality Tools: Experience with quality tools like P diagrams, FMEA etc. to support creation of robust algorithms.
  • Leadership Skills: Proven leadership skills aligned to our corporate values.
  • Relationship Building: Ability to build strong, valuable relationships at all levels of the business.
  • Analytical Abilities: Strong technical, communication and analytical abilities.
  • Work Productivity: Ability to produce timely, logical and concise work products.
  • Program Management: Ability to handle concurrent programs;
  • Teamwork: Ability to work effectively independently, in a team or collaborative environment.
  • Automotive Knowledge: Baseline knowledge of automotive electronic hardware.
  • Functional Safety: Baseline understanding of ISO26262 or equivalent standards.
  • Quality Managed Environment: Experience working within a quality managed environment (e.g. A-SPICE).

Desirable Skills and Qualifications
  • Advanced Education: Master of Science degree in a technological engineering or computer science field.
  • Automotive Development: Experience in automotive development, including real-time systems, AutoSAR, automotive networks etc.
  • Data Analytics: Experience of leading teams performing Data analytics , prognostic and diagnostic tasks
  • Project Management: Competent with project management tools (waterfall and agile – e.g JIRA, Confluence or similar).
  • Propulsion Technologies: Knowledge and experience of propulsion technologies
  • Functional Safety: Functional Safety (ISO26262) experience
