Store Leadership Role

The Store Manager position at our luxury ethnic wear store is an exciting opportunity to lead a high-performing team and drive sales growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee daily store operations, ensuring seamless execution of opening/closing procedures, cash handling, and POS systems.
  • Develop and implement visual merchandising strategies to showcase luxury ethnic wear products effectively.
  • Collaborate with the head office to launch seasonal campaigns, festive promotions, and new collection showcases.

Sales & Customer Experience:

  • Drive sales revenue by exceeding monthly targets through effective customer engagement and styling services.
  • Provide personalized styling guidance for sarees, blouses, and accessories, leveraging knowledge of ethnic wear fabrics and draping styles.
  • Handle escalated customer queries efficiently, ensuring smooth exchange/return processes and fostering long-term relationships.

Team Leadership:

  • Recruit, train, and supervise sales staff, stylists, and support personnel, focusing on skills development and performance improvement.
  • Motivate the team to deliver exceptional shopping experiences, emphasizing the importance of customer satisfaction.

Inventory & Stock Control:

  • Monitor stock movement, replenishment, tagging, and barcoding processes, maintaining accurate records and minimizing stock loss/shrinkage.
  • Provide timely feedback on bestsellers, customer preferences, and market trends to the merchandising team, informing product development and sourcing decisions.

Marketing & Engagement:

  • Plan and execute in-store events such as saree showcases, draping workshops, and wedding collection previews, attracting customers and promoting brand awareness.
  • Coordinate with marketing teams to develop influencer partnerships, live streaming, and social media campaigns, driving customer engagement and loyalty.

Reporting & Compliance:

  • Prepare daily/weekly sales and footfall reports, analyzing key performance indicators and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with billing, GST, and company policies, maintaining a strong focus on operational excellence and safety.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Strong leadership and people management skills, with experience in managing retail teams.
  • Excellent communication skills, with fluency in English, Bengali, and Hindi.
  • Knowledge of ethnic wear fabrics, draping styles, and customer preferences, with a customer-first mindset.
  • Ability to thrive in high-footfall seasons and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in billing software, POS systems, and MS Office, with a willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Retail, Fashion Management, or Business, with 4–6 years of experience in apparel/ethnic retail management.
  • Proven success in achieving sales targets and leading retail teams, with a strong passion for the fashion industry.
