Technical Support Engineer Job Summary

As a Technical Support Engineer, you will be the primary point of contact for customers experiencing technical issues with our software and platform.

  • Resolve technical cases created by customers through various technologies including web, chat, email, case updates, and direct telephone support.
  • Employ diagnostic tools to isolate the potential cause of the issue and manage challenging issues assigned to you.
  • Collaborate with additional teams for complex cases and provide input across business units regarding process and product improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Proactively resolve technical cases created by customers through various channels.
  • Utilize diagnostic tools to identify and resolve technical issues efficiently.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive process and product improvements.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong understanding of server-side object-oriented JavaScript, Unix Shell scripting, and Windows scripting and PowerShell.
  • Server administration expertise across OS platforms (Windows/Unix) including user permission levels, domain configuration, group policy objects, and execution of SUDO Policies.
  • Familiarity with AWS, Azure, VMWare, Amazon EC2, and protocols such as HTTP, TCP, FTP/SFTP, SOAP, and REST.
  • Excellent troubleshooting/root cause isolation skills and creative problem-solving approach.
  • Proficiency in analyzing log files and standard debugging concepts.
  • Effective communication skills (verbal and written).

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field (or equivalent degree and experience).
  • 0-2 years providing customer-facing technical support (Web-based products or e-commerce preferred).
