Job Summary

The role of a Machinery Maintenance Technician in food manufacturing requires the ability to maintain and repair machinery used in nutraceutical production.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate and monitor machinery according to standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure accurate and efficient production.
  • Set up, calibrate, and adjust machines for optimal performance.
  • Conduct routine equipment checks to prevent downtime and ensure smooth operations.
  • Maintain product quality standards during machine operations.
  • Record machine operating data and production outputs accurately.
  • Ensure material feeding, changeovers, and line clearance are carried out as required.
  • Report and escalate equipment malfunctions or abnormalities promptly.
Requirements and Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 24 years of experience in machinery maintenance within the nutraceutical, food manufacturing, or pharmaceutical industries.
  • Hands-on experience with blending, granulation, encapsulation, filling, or packaging machines is necessary.
  • A strong understanding of machine operation, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting is essential.
  • Knowledge of food safety, quality control, and hygienic practices is also required.
  • Familiarity with GMP, GHP, HACCP, and regulatory guidelines is beneficial.
Education and Certifications:
  • A Diploma/Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (B.Tech preferred).
  • Certification in Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, or ISO 22000 is an added advantage.
