Job Role

The Imperva Engineer position plays a crucial role in advancing our Database Security initiatives.

Key responsibilities include configuring and implementing Imperva Database Security solutions across enterprise environments, collaborating with customers to gather requirements, and deploying tailored solutions.

  • Configure and implement Imperva Database Security solutions across enterprise environments.
  • Collaborate with customers to gather requirements, massage data, and deploy tailored solutions.
  • Perform overnight system changes and updates to support teams.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to firewalls, network connectivity, and server performance.
  • Develop and maintain automation scripts using Shell, Python, or similar languages.
  • Update runbooks, documentation, and tooling to improve incident response and operational readiness.
  • Support post-incident reviews and ensure learnings are documented and actioned.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of alerting systems and operational workflows.
Essential Skills & Experience:
  • 3–5 years of experience in engineering roles, preferably in cybersecurity or infrastructure.
  • Hands-on experience with Imperva Database Security required.
  • Strong background in Linux, System Administration, OS/Server Administration, and Firewall troubleshooting essential.
  • Scripting skills (Shell, Python) necessary.
  • Able to work independently during night shift hours and occasionally sync with team members.
  • Excellent communication and customer interaction skills required.
