Job Summary:

The Mass Retail Distribution Head role encompasses formulating and implementing a comprehensive distribution strategy for the circle mass market. This involves collaborating with the Sales Head to achieve Gross and Net Acquisition targets in the circle for the distribution channel.

Main Responsibilities:

  • To provide strategic input to the overall circle sales strategy, driving profitability of the distribution channel.
  • Set targets for the distribution channel, covering both business and distribution Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Develop a channel expansion strategy by evaluating distribution coverage, penetration, and performance.
  • Prioritize new product launches in the distribution channel in conjunction with the circle Sales and Marketing Heads.

Operational Objectives:

  • Achieve circle revenue targets for the distribution channel across all products and brands.
  • Expand the distribution network by appointing and monitoring partners in new and existing areas.
  • Collaborate with the Sales Head in determining Channel Operating Company/Cost Allowance (COCA) plans for channel partners and monitor their implementation.

Development Goals:

  • IDentify development areas and recommend training programs/interventions for distribution personnel.
  • Work with the Sales Effectiveness Management team to develop training programs for internal sales teams and distributors for new products and initiatives.

Requirements:

  • 8-10 years of experience in distribution, preferably in Telecom/FMCG/Mass Retail Distribution.
  • Leadership experience in multi-geography teams to leverage best practices.
  • Familiarity with distribution planning and channel strategy implementation.
