Job Title: Senior Financial Executive

About the Role:

The primary objective of this position is to oversee monthly financial accounting for designated entities in the Asia-Pacific region under the guidance of the Finance Director.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Statement Preparation: Ensure timely recognition of costs for local and US reporting purposes by posting month-end accruals and prepayments.
  • Transaction Management: Set up and process bank transactions as journals within the ledger.
  • Cash Flow Management: Produce daily cash reports for all APAC businesses, reviewing daily cash requirements to guarantee adequate funding arrangements.
  • Journal Entries: Establish and post monthly journals, including depreciation, while updating supporting spreadsheets.
  • Treasury Functions: Certain functions involve making payments, settling intercompany invoices, and maintaining optimal cash levels in local bank accounts.
  • Financial Reporting: Generate trial balances for relevant countries to meet US reporting deadlines.
  • Management Information: Provide management information for UK and local needs as required.
  • Performance Analysis: Conduct P&L reviews, Flux analyses, and contribute to cost control initiatives as necessary.
  • Audit Compliance: Collaborate with the Finance Director, local advisors, and other team members to ensure year-end audit, statutory accounts, and tax returns are filed on time.
  • Account Reconciliations: Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations of control accounts, bank accounts, and asset debtor and creditor accounts based on risk categories.
  • Team Collaboration: Maintain liaison with Finance team members within the APAC region and overseas to ensure account integrity.
  • Policies and Procedures: Ensure compliance with Group Finance policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in financial accounting and analysis.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Familiarity with financial software applications.
