Life Cycle Assessment Specialist Wanted

We seek an accomplished professional to conduct Life Cycle Assessments for process-based industries, ensuring environmental impacts are minimized and optimized.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in LCA methodologies, tools, and data interpretation, backed by hands-on experience in at least two LCA projects related to chemicals, manufacturing, or energy sectors.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Develop comprehensive LCAs for process-based industries, encompassing data collection, modeling, and analysis.
  2. Conduct inventory analysis by gathering data on raw materials, energy use, emissions, and waste generation.
  3. Utilize specialized LCA software (e.g., SimaPro, OpenLCA, GaBi) to model and evaluate environmental impacts.
  4. Interpret LCA results, prepare actionable reports, and ensure compliance with relevant standards (ISO 14040/44) and industry regulations.
  5. Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to communicate findings and recommendations.
  6. Identify opportunities for process optimization and sustainability improvements based on LCA insights.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in environmental science, Sustainability, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in conducting LCA projects for process-based industries.
  • Proficiency in LCA software tools (e.g., SimaPro, GaBi, OpenLCA).
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex datasets.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
