Job Title: Senior Associate Software Engineer Biological Studies

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Associate Software Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering organization, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing applications and modules.

Your primary focus will be on analyzing and understanding the functional and technical requirements of applications, solutions, and systems. You will translate these requirements into software architecture and design specifications.

In addition to your technical expertise, you will also work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software on time. This includes maintaining detailed documentation of software designs, code, and development processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and implement applications and modules, including custom reports, interfaces, and enhancements.
  • Analyze and understand the functional and technical requirements of applications, solutions, and systems, and translate them into software architecture and design specifications.
  • Develop and implement unit tests, integration tests, and other testing strategies to ensure the quality of the software.
  • Identify and resolve software bugs and performance issues.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of software designs, code, and development processes.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a strong foundation in computer science and related fields. Your proficiency in general-purpose high-level languages, such as Python, Java, or C#, is essential.

A solid understanding of software development methodologies, Agile and Scrum, is also required. Additionally, experience with full-stack software development, cloud platforms, containerization technologies, DevOps practices, and CI/CD pipelines is highly desirable.

You will also be expected to have hands-on experience with big data technologies, API integration, serverless architecture, microservices architecture, monitoring and logging tools, and infrastructure as code tools.

Familiarity with version control systems like Git and automated testing tools and frameworks is also necessary.
