Key Responsibilities

A senior statistical programmer with a strong background in SAS programming and experience with CDISC and regulatory standards will have key responsibilities including:

  • Providing programming support for clinical trials
  • Implementing CDISC and other regulatory standards
  • Following internal SAS programming conventions
  • Serving as a lead on assigned studies
  • Ensuring accuracy and completeness of activities for assigned support programmers
  • Maintaining project timelines
  • Developing tools and macros to improve quality and efficiency of processes
  • Preparing specifications for SDTM, ADaM, and other derived datasets
  • Applying knowledge of SAS programming to program/develop and/or validate statistical outputs according to the analysis plan and specifications

The ideal candidate should have a degree in Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field and a minimum of 4 years direct SAS programming experience in pharmaceutical development or CRO environment. Knowledge of medical terminology and conduct and analysis of clinical trials is also required.

Additional Responsibilities

Responsibilities may include assisting in financial reporting, promoting visibility outside of the functional area, interacting cross-functionally, participating in candidate interviews, and performing other duties as requested by management.
