Job Title: Senior Reliability Engineer

We're looking for an experienced Senior Site Reliability Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering organization, you will be responsible for designing and implementing solutions to improve platform reliability, automating manual processes, and collaborating with globally dispersed SRE and Platform teams in a "follow the sun" support model.

Key Responsibilities
  • Technical Leadership: Provide technical leadership and mentoring through knowledge sharing, code reviews, and solution design.
  • Reliability Engineering: Design and implement solutions to improve platform reliability with mitigation strategies and operational playbooks.
  • Monitoring and Logging: Build and maintain monitoring, alerting, and logging systems to ensure proactive incident response.
  • Root Cause Analysis: Conduct Root Cause Analyses (RCAs) and blameless post-mortems.
  • On-Call Rotation: Participate in on-call rotations to support system reliability.
  • Infrastructure Automation: Automate infrastructure provisioning and management using Infrastructure as Code.
  • Database Optimization: Monitor and optimize databases for high availability and performance.
  • SLIs and SLOs: Contribute to defining SLIs, SLOs, and SLAs across teams.

Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
  • Experience: 2+ years' experience in Platform Engineering, SRE, or Software Engineering roles.
  • Cloud Experience: 1+ years' experience working on a SaaS platform.
  • Programming Skills: Proficient in PHP/Laravel development.
  • Cloud Platforms: Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and public cloud (Azure, AWS, or GCP).
  • Scripting/Automation: Expertise in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform preferred, Ansible or CloudFormation). Scripting/automation skills in Bash, PowerShell, or Python.
  • Observability Tools: Experience with observability tools (DataDog, Prometheus, Grafana).
  • High-Availability Environment: Proven track record in maintaining high-availability, high-performance production environments.

Preferred Qualifications
  • CI/CD Tooling: CI/CD tooling experience (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Octopus Deploy).
  • Cloud Certifications: Relevant cloud/Kubernetes certifications (e.g., Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect, Certified Kubernetes Administrator).
  • MSSQL Database Management: MSSQL database management/performance tuning experience.
