Job Title: Inventory Management Professional

Key Responsibilities:

Inventory control specialists are responsible for monitoring and reconciling inventory across multiple sales channels, including retail stores, marketplaces, and direct-to-consumer websites. Accurate valuation of inventory is essential, taking into account landed costs, GST, freight, and other overheads.

Inventory discrepancies must be identified promptly and resolved through collaboration with the Operations and Merchandising teams. Vendor payments and reconciliations should also be managed effectively to ensure timely settlement of dues.

Accounts & Financial Management:

Sales data must be reconciled with payment gateways, POS systems, marketplace reports, and internal ERP systems. Channel-wise P&L statements, margin analysis, and profitability reports should be prepared regularly.

Compliance with statutory requirements regarding inventory and vendor transactions is crucial. Close collaboration with the Buying team is necessary for procurement accounting and vendor reconciliations.

Cross-Functional Coordination:

Inventory inward/outward processes can be streamlined through partnership with Operations, minimizing leakages and improving efficiency. Collaboration with Retail and Merchandising teams ensures accurate reporting of sales returns and stock levels.

Stock audits and statutory audits require coordination with auditors. Implementing stronger financial and operational controls around inventory movement and sales reconciliation is essential.
