Network Security Specialist

Our mission is to protect the integrity of our network infrastructure. As a Network Security Specialist, you will play a vital role in maintaining the security and reliability of our systems.

This position involves monitoring, analyzing, and resolving on-premises and cloud network security issues. The successful candidate will have excellent technical skills, a strong understanding of networking concepts, and experience with security tools and systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitoring and Analyzing Network Security Devices: You will monitor and analyze network security devices, systems, and tools to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities.
  • Troubleshooting Complex Issues: You will troubleshoot complex issues related to firewall configurations, web application firewalls, proxies, distributed denial-of-service systems, data labeling and loss systems, and host-based security controls.
  • Providing Communication Throughout the Incident Management Process: You will provide timely and accurate communication throughout the incident management process.
  • SUPPORTING CYBERSECURITY OPERATIONS STANDARDS AND EXCELLENCE: You will support and promote Visa's Cybersecurity operation standards and excellence.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • You should possess 3+ years of work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or 2+ years of work experience.
  • You should have experience as a Network/Security Operations Engineer, network/security support analyst, or experience across multiple technologies such as firewalls, proxies, and data labeling systems.
  • You should have knowledge of network monitoring concepts and management tools, including Indeni, Splunk, Moloch, QRadar, Solarwinds, NetCool, or similar platforms.
  • You should have understanding of packet and protocol analysis using tools like Wireshark for troubleshooting activities.
  • You should have demonstrated knowledge of native cloud-based security monitoring tools.
  • You should have general knowledge of networking, routing topology, cybersecurity frameworks, constructs, and auditable standards.
