Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Airfield Engineer to be the Principal Engineer within our organization, with the potential to become a Team Lead as the team grows and develops.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the design lead for airfield civil engineering projects
  • Deliver projects through various stages of design from feasibility studies to detailed design and construction
  • Lead and undertake the preparation of technical reports, calculations, drawings, and specifications
  • Undertake/project manage technical design reviews to meet quality management requirements
  • Effectively communicate and coordinate designs with team members, industry associates, and clients
  • Identify and manage design risks, issues, and RFIs
  • Support Project Managers by undertaking project progress monitoring and contributing to the development of appropriate project controls
  • Implement technical quality requirements and meet client deadlines

Requirements

  • 10 years of civil infrastructure design experience at airports
  • Civil engineering experience working on large, technically complex multi-disciplinary airport projects from concept to detailed design and construction support
  • Experience managing engineering professionals in the delivery of technical aviation projects
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills when providing design information or interacting with team members, industry associates, and clients
  • Competent self-leadership with attention to detail, multitasking, and prioritization of responsibilities in a dynamic work environment
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as part of a team to meet business objectives
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strict deadlines
  • Experience of international airfield design standards such as ICAO and FAA
  • Knowledge and experience of using AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and relevant other airfield engineering design software packages
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook)
