Job Description

We are seeking an experienced senior business analyst to lead complex projects and collaborate with stakeholders, product owners, and technical teams.

As a lead business analyst, you will drive requirement discovery, facilitate discussions with business and tech teams, manage documentation, and contribute to the overall project vision.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Liaison between IT capabilities and business objectives: Act as the liaison between IT capabilities and business objectives to facilitate improvements through process or system solutions.
  • Requirement discovery: Lead requirement discovery sessions and stakeholder interviews to define clear, actionable business requirements.
  • Analysis and recommendation: Conduct in-depth analysis to interpret and recommend best solutions to align IT and business initiatives.
  • User stories and test cases: Translate business needs into user stories, use cases, and test cases with measurable acceptance criteria.
  • Change agent: Act as a change agent and subject matter expert in applications/specific area of knowledge.
  • Product Owner: May act as Product Owner(depending on project requirements) to help align the overall strategic direction.
  • Methodology guidance: Guide teams through Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid methodologies to ensure timely, successful delivery.
  • Testing lifecycle: Drive the testing lifecycle — planning, execution, and reporting — to ensure solution quality.
  • Jr. analyst mentorship: Mentor and support junior analysts, contributing to team growth and knowledge sharing.
  • Agile ceremonies: May facilitate or participate in agile ceremonies, or support/act as Scrum Master in close collaboration with Product Owner on the vision of team and workload.

Requirements

  • 7+ years experience: 7+ years as a Business Analyst in IT, with strong experience in handling complex projects.
  • Complex requirement gathering: Proficiency in gathering and translating complex business requirements into actionable insights.
  • Facilitation and consensus building: Ability to facilitate meetings, lead discovery workshops, and drive consensus.
  • Project environments: Experience working in Agile, Iterative, and Waterfall project environments.
  • Communication and presentation: Strong communication and presentation skills across technical and non-technical audience.
  • Results-oriented: Results oriented with strong organizational skills to manage multiple priorities within deadlines.
  • Domain expertise: Prior experience in Retail, eCommerce, and/or BFSI domains is a strong plus.
