Job Summary

The Electromagnetic Compatibility Test Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of electronic products and systems by performing EMI/EMC analyses and testing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement EMC/EMI requirements.
  • Review technical specifications and application notes for EMC protection schemes.
  • Analyze schematics and circuit board layouts for adherence to EMC design practices and guidelines.
  • Develop system and circuit board level EMC protection (filtering, shielding, etc).
  • Conduct design reviews to ensure compliance with EMI and EMC standards.
  • Interpret regulatory requirements and develop test plans and procedures.
  • Conduct EMC testing and analysis on electronic products and systems.
  • Analyze test results and recommend design modifications and mitigation strategies.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience in performance of EMI/EMC analyses and testing.
  • Proficiency in digital and analog circuit design and schematic capture.
  • Understanding of PCB layout process and tools.
  • Proficiency with simulations through functional and logical models and system analysis.
  • Hands-on experience with lab equipment (network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, oscillators, signal generators, and EMC chambers).
  • Knowledge of RF and EMC standards (FCC, CISPR-25, IEC).
  • Ability to work independently or in teams and communicate effectively with various stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Strong knowledge of passenger vehicle EE architecture.
