Housekeeping Supervisor

The housekeeping supervisor plays a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and standards of our hospital. They oversee the day-to-day activities of the housekeeping team, ensuring that all areas are clean, well-maintained, and meet the required standards.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and coordinate housekeeping staff activities to ensure efficient cleaning and maintenance of guest rooms, wards, public areas, and facilities.
  • Inspect these areas regularly to identify any issues or concerns and take corrective action as needed.
  • Develop and implement daily work schedules and allocate tasks to housekeeping attendants to maximize productivity and efficiency.
  • Provide training and guidance to new and existing staff members on cleaning techniques, chemical usage, and safety standards to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies, linen, and equipment; raise requisitions as necessary to ensure continuous supply.
  • Ensure timely cleaning and turnover of rooms or areas to meet customer expectations and maintain high standards.
  • Handle guest or patient complaints and resolve housekeeping-related issues promptly and efficiently to maintain a positive image.
  • Collaborate with other departments such as maintenance, front office, or nursing to ensure seamless operations and effective communication.
  • Maintain accurate records of staff attendance, duty rosters, and daily cleaning reports to track progress and identify areas for improvement.

This is a full-time position that requires 1-3 years of experience in housekeeping or a related field. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree and excellent communication skills to effectively interact with colleagues, guests, and patients.
