Job Overview

As the Head of Financial Operations, you will spearhead the finance department with a focus on strategic planning, financial management, investor relations, and operational efficiency. You will be a key member of the leadership team, driving financial discipline, compliance, and business scalability across the organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversight of financial statements, P&L, balance sheet, and cash flows
  • Timely and accurate month-end/year-end closing and reporting
  • Enhancement of internal financial controls, risk management, and regulatory compliance
  • Implementation of robust accounting practices and ERP systems
  • Management of statutory, internal, and tax audits
  • Long-term financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting
  • Partnership with leadership on strategic initiatives, growth plans, and resource allocation
  • Initiatives to improve profitability, unit economics, and return on investment
  • Daily finance operations including accounts payable, receivable, and payroll
  • Tax compliance (GST, TDS, income tax) and regulatory adherence
  • Review and approval of all financial processes, reconciliations, and vendor payments
  • Support for equity and debt fundraising efforts
  • Building investor confidence through transparent and timely reporting
  • Financial due diligence, board reporting, and investor communication
  • Leadership, mentorship, and scaling of a high-performing finance and accounting team
  • Fostering a culture of accountability, accuracy, and continuous improvement
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Chartered Accountant (CA).
  • 10–15 years of progressive experience in finance, with 3+ years in a leadership role
  • Strong background in finance controllership and regulatory compliance
  • Proven experience in high-growth start-ups, construction, real estate, or tech industries
  • Solid understanding of Indian GAAP, Ind-AS, tax laws, and audit practices
  • Hands-on experience with ERPs, MIS, and business finance tools
  • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
