Transform Your Underwriting Expertise into Comprehensive Training and Quality Standards.
As an Expert Underwriter Enablement Specialist, you will convert your extensive underwriting experience into interactive training programs, playbooks, and quality standards that empower community reviewers (anchors) to effectively curate and correct AI model responses with high accuracy.
Your key responsibilities include designing curricula, running bootcamps, calibrating reviewers, and feeding structured feedback to data and model teams to ensure the AI improves quickly and safely.
- Develop and teach comprehensive underwriting basics to non-specialists: financial obligation ratio (FOIR), debt-to-income ratio (DTI), loan-to-value ratio (LTV), income stability, bureau interpretation, documentation hygiene, fraud red flags, and policy exceptions.
- Train anchors to review and improve AI outputs: apply rules, correct decisions, add reason codes, and document edge cases.
- Design and implement micro-curricula & standard operating procedures (SOPs): short modules (30–60 min) with examples, quizzes, checklists, and local-language handouts.
- Establish quality rubrics: acceptance criteria, pass/fail checklists, quick-fix macros, escalation rules, and calibration guidelines.
- Identify data needs from cases: capture missing rules/thresholds; draft data-needs specifications for synthetic data generation.
- Champion ethics and privacy: ensure proper handling of personal identifiable information (PII), fairness, and compliant decision rationales in training and review workflows.
- 4–8 years of experience in retail/home-loan underwriting (banks/NBFC/MFI) with hands-on decisioning and policy interpretation.
- Proven training or mentorship experience—comfortable teaching beginners and non-technical learners.
- Strong grasp of calculations and documents: FOIR/DTI/LTV/EMI, income proofs, bank statements, credit bureau reports.
