Lead Breakwater Development Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Breakwater Development Specialist to lead our port development project in Trivandrum, Kerala.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil engineering and at least 10 years of hands-on experience in the design, construction, and management of port and marine infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and Construct Breakwater Systems: Oversee the planning, construction, and maintenance of rubblemound, vertical, and hybrid breakwaters for optimal protection of port infrastructure.
  • Project Management: Manage port expansion projects, ensuring timely completion, adherence to high-quality standards, and successful collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Coastal and Marine Engineering: Apply expertise in hydrodynamics, coastal erosion, and sediment transport to optimize breakwater and shoreline protection systems.
  • Collaboration with Stakeholders: Work closely with government bodies, environmental agencies, contractors, and consultants to ensure smooth project execution and regulatory compliance.
  • Safety and Environmental Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to HSE guidelines and sustainable practices to minimize environmental impact during construction.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • At least 10 years of experience in breakwater construction, port development, or coastal engineering projects.
  • Expertise in designing and implementing breakwater systems, including knowledge of materials, hydrodynamics, and coastal processes.
  • Ability to manage large teams and collaborate across departments to meet project goals.
  • Strong problem-solving skills in challenging coastal environments.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • B.E. (Civil Engineering) or equivalent.
  • Coastal Engineering Certification (preferred but not mandatory).
  • Experience working in the Kerala region or on Indian port development projects.
