This includes comprehending existing functionalities, designing equivalents in newer operator interfaces, configuring process graphics in HMI applications, and testing the functionality.
  • The ideal candidate will be conversant with HMI elements and philosophies used in process automation.

Your Responsibilities

">
  • You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and testing DCS software applications (human interface systems and associated control logic).
  • Understanding functional requirements for developing intuitive operator interfaces is crucial.
  • You will design process graphics and graphical elements in HMI to cater to functional requirements.
  • Development of functional design specifications and test procedures is a key aspect of this role.
  • Reverse engineering to analyze older functionalities and implementing those in newer applications using equivalent features is also required.
  • Developing process graphics based on PIDs/reference from older systems is another important task.
  • Detailed functional testing of every graphical element and overall graphical interface is necessary.
  • Understanding behavior of basic process control functions to validate functionality is essential.
  • You will participate in conducting demos and Functional Acceptance Tests (FAT) with customers.
  • Channelling technical queries is also a part of this role.

What You Need

">
  • 4-5 years of technical expertise in HMI design, configuration, and testing of Distributed Control Systems.
  • Able to read PIDs and decode functionality to implement in Distributed Control Systems.
  • Knowledge and experience in Oil and Gas, Refining, Petrochemical, Chemical industries.
  • Knowledge of Visual Basic.
  • Basic understanding of TypeScript would be preferred.
  • Ability to quickly understand and evaluate complex and evolving functional requirements.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in engineering (Instrumentation Engineering, Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering, or Electrical Engineering).
  • Experience in DeltaV systems.
  • Knowledge of Visual Basic.
  • Basic understanding of TypeScript would be preferred.
  • An urge to learn and explore solutions to resolve technical demands.
  • Self-directed with the ability to meet challenging schedule requirements.
