Job Description

As a Hedge Fund Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our hedge fund portfolios. This involves daily, weekly, and monthly Net Asset Value (NAV) calculations, Profit and Loss (P&L) reconciliation between fund administrator reports and internal records, as well as cash reconciliation across custodians, banks, and internal systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Nav Calculations: Prepare and review daily, weekly, and monthly NAV calculations for hedge fund portfolios to ensure accurate reporting and operational efficiency.
  • P&l Reconciliation: Perform P&L reconciliation between fund administrator reports and internal records to identify discrepancies and resolve issues promptly.
  • Cash Reconciliation: Carry out cash reconciliation across custodians, banks, and internal systems to ensure accurate cash positions and minimize errors.
  • Investigation And Resolution: Investigate and resolve discrepancies in positions, pricing, fees, and expenses in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Support For Month-End And Year-End Closing Processes: Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries and accruals, to ensure accurate financial reporting.
Required Skills And Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor's Degree: A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field (Master's or professional certification like CFA/CPA is a plus).
  • Industry Experience: 2–5 years of experience in fund accounting or hedge fund operations, preferably with exposure to NAV calculation and reconciliation processes.
  • Financial Knowledge: Strong understanding of financial instruments, including equities, derivatives, fixed income, FX, etc.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Excel and knowledge of fund accounting software (e.g., Advent Geneva, Investran, or similar) is an advantage.
  • Skill Set: Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills are essential for success in this role.
