Backend Java Developer Job Description

The successful candidate will be part of a team of engineers developing high-performing code. Responsibilities include ensuring quality practices – unit testing, code reviews, optimizing the application for non-functional requirements, building and deploying components as part of the CI/CD process, coordinating with teams for production deployment, monitoring application health and KPIs, troubleshooting complex data, features, service, and platform issues, and performing root cause analysis to proactively resolve product and operational issues.

The ideal candidate should have 6-8 years of professional experience with expertise in microservices and cloud native apps using Java, REST APIs, Spring Core, Spring Boot Framework, MVC, WebFlux, and Spring Security. They should also have experience working with Unit testing using frameworks such as Junit, Mockito, and JBehave, build and deploy services using Gradle, Maven, Jenkins, and relational databases like Oracle or PostgreSQL. Excellent communication skills are essential.
