As a Legal and Compliance Manager, you will play a critical role in safeguarding the company's legal interests and maintaining required compliance standards.

This role requires reviewing contracts, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and internal policies, and supporting a wide range of legal matters.

The successful candidate will work closely with senior legal counsel and other departments to ensure seamless collaboration and effective decision-making.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Contract Review & Drafting:
    • Review, draft and negotiate contracts, including but not limited to supplier agreements, vendor contracts, client agreements, service agreements and non-disclosure agreements (NDAs).
    • Ensure contracts comply with company policies and applicable laws.
    • Assist in the development of standard contract templates and processes.
  • Compliance Support:
    • Monitor and ensure the company's adherence to regulatory and legal requirements across various jurisdictions.
    • Assist in conducting internal compliance audits and risk assessments.
    • Support the development and implementation of compliance programs, policies, and training materials.
  • Legal Research & Advisory:
    • Conduct legal research on relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
    • Provide advice and recommendations on legal risks and compliance matters to internal stakeholders.
  • General Legal Support:
    • Assist in corporate governance matters, including board meeting minutes and regulatory filings.
    • Support the legal team with dispute resolution, litigation, and other legal matters as required.

The ideal candidate should possess:

  • A strong academic background with an LLB or equivalent degree.
  • 4-6 years of experience in a law firm or in-house experience.
  • Proficiency with email and Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word and PowerPoint).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
