Residential Manager

The Residential Manager will oversee the day-to-day operations of the hostel, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for students. Key responsibilities include managing staff, maintaining facilities, and enforcing rules and regulations.

  • Key Responsibilities:
    • Hostel Operations:
      • Oversee daily hostel operations, including maintenance, housekeeping, and catering.
      • Maintain accurate records of hostel occupancy and infrastructure.
      • Ensure timely repairs and replacements of faulty equipment.
    • Student Welfare & Discipline:
      • Enforce discipline and maintain order among hostel residents.
      • Address grievances and provide counseling support to students as needed.
      • Ensure the safety and well-being of students in the hostel premises.
  • Coordination & Supervision:
    • Supervise support staff, including ward boys, housekeepers, and security personnel.
    • Coordinate with mess staff to ensure quality food service and timely meals.
    • Communicate with university administration on hostel-related matters.
Eligibility & Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Management, Social Sciences, Education, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Hostel Manager or Administrator, preferably in an educational institution.
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Ability to handle emergencies with calmness and responsibility.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and record-keeping.
Other Requirements:
  • Willingness to reside in the hostel premises (residential position).
  • Approachable, student-friendly, and disciplined demeanor.
  • Strong communication skills in English and Hindi.
