Job Title: Business Manager

We are seeking a talented professional to lead our Oil Additives business in the Indian subcontinent.

Purpose of the Position:
  • Promote Oil Additives products to customers in the Indian subcontinent.
  • Meditate between sellers/production companies and customers in the area.
  • Serve as a communicator between principals and customers in the area.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Achieve challenging targets for Oil Additives business in India, Sri Lanka & Bangladesh by maintaining and growing existing business profitably.
  • Build quick and trustworthy relationships with customers at different levels in the organization and acquire new customers.
  • Identify new ideas and market needs and recommend smart solutions for product use.
  • OEM Management: Responsible for OEM and Industry Liaison activities, identifying potential target Indian OEMs within the Automotive industry & industrial segment, and working with them to promote Evonik Oil Additive technologies/initiatives, including extensive field trials.
  • Channel Management: Decide on the most effective sales channel for customers and segments in the region, select, manage, and evaluate agents and distributors.
  • Closely coordinate and cooperate with departments of principals, such as key account management, technical service, product management, customer service, supply chain, marketing services, and business development to support strategic goals of the business.
  • Run market research activities, such as market analysis, competitor analysis, product placement analysis, local or regional price level analysis.
  • Pursue strategic goals of the business.
  • Identify changes in business dynamics, marketplace opportunities, competitive threats, supply position, etc.
  • Participate in fairs, conferences, customer events (e.g., suppliers' day).
  • Support customer satisfaction survey upon request of Principal.
  • Collect receivables.
  • Determine and ensure adequate and effective allocation/usage of sales & technical resources.
Requirements:
  • Degree in Engineering with minimum 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Basic knowledge of lubricants & its application is preferred.
