Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled data center network engineer to support Cisco technologies. This role suits professionals with expertise in Cisco Nexus and experience designing, optimizing, and securing large-scale enterprise networks.

This professional will ensure network resiliency, scalability, and operational efficiency in complex environments. They will drive innovation through automation and modern data center practices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, deploy, and manage advanced data center networking solutions on Cisco Nexus platforms (NX-OS, Nexus 5K/7K; Nexus 9K exposure is a plus).
  • Configure and troubleshoot advanced Cisco data center technologies, including vPC, OTV, and FabricPath.
  • Ensure continuous availability, security, and performance of data center network infrastructure.
  • Perform capacity planning, proactive monitoring, and performance optimization.
  • Leverage automation and scripting (Python preferred) to streamline operations and enhance operational consistency.
  • Actively contribute to incident management, root cause analysis, and change control processes.
  • Maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including network topology, configurations, and operational procedures.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to align solutions with enterprise standards and best practices.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Strong hands-on expertise with Cisco Nexus platforms (NX-OS, Nexus 5K/7K; Nexus 9K desirable).
  • In-depth knowledge of vPC, OTV, and FabricPath technologies.
  • Solid understanding of Layer 2/3 networking protocols, data center topologies, and enterprise-class environments.
  • Proficiency in Python scripting or equivalent programming for automation and network optimization.
  • CCIE Data Center/Enterprise certification (preferred) or equivalent extensive real-world experience.
