Technical Support Role Overview

This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, providing technical assistance and support to employees across the globe. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality services, ensuring seamless technical operations, and fostering collaboration with the Cybersecurity team.

The role encompasses a wide range of tasks, including:

  • Rendering timely operational and technical support for personal computers and troubleshooting domestic computer hardware and software issues.
  • Providing prompt and effective troubleshooting, resolution, and documentation of all problems and service requests.
  • Developing accurate installation and configuration procedures for standard and non-standard software packages.
  • Managing deployment and rollout of software and hardware.
  • Maintaining an accurate inventory of clients' assets.
  • Creating and maintaining a knowledge base to support users.
  • Collaborating with the Cybersecurity team to ensure network asset security.
  • Updating the problem management database with timely information in accordance with desktop service levels.
  • Gathering relevant information about issues and attempts to resolve them using provided tools and collective knowledge.
  • Utilizing the knowledge base for troubleshooting efforts. Sharing experiences with team members.
  • Assisting in deploying desktop PCs and peripherals.
  • On-boarding new employees with orientation to computer assets.
  • Responding to voice mail and email daily.
  • Developing working knowledge of desktop applications and OS software supported by Desktop Services. Troubleshooting and assisting in using supported software.
  • Performing various duties assigned by the Client Solutions Manager.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, candidates must possess the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • At least 2 years of experience in Desktop and/or Helpdesk support.
  • Prior work-related experience with current standard desktop software (Microsoft Office, Windows).
  • Fluent English language skills. Additional languages are an asset.
  • Experience working with international clients in USA and Europe.
  • Proficient Microsoft office skills, SAP knowledge is an asset.
  • Desktop or Help Desk support experience is an asset.
