Job Description:

  • We are seeking an experienced Telecommunications Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in ICT and telecommunications systems, including structured cabling systems, active ICT networks, nurse call systems, audio visual, video conference systems, unified comms solutions, smart building, space management solutions, etc.
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and publishing telecommunications designs, preparing reports, specifications, calculations, and drawings to enable the tendering of works to a suitably qualified integrator/contractor.


The role involves liaising with other engineers, vendors, and contractors throughout the project duration. Additionally, you will mentor junior and graduate engineers and work within a multi-discipline design team.


Key skills and qualifications include a Master's degree in electronic, computer systems, or telecommunications, or a Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering. Proficiency in Cisco, Aruba, Dell networking, wireless design guidelines, firewalls, network protection systems, radio systems, MPLS networks, IP-CCTV systems, integrated station/building management systems, wireless network architecture, video intercom systems, passenger help points, BMS, LTE radio propagation modeling, base station configuration, bandwidth management, Revit, Autodesk AutoCAD, MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Outlook is essential.


As a Telecommunications Engineer, you will need to demonstrate extensive experience in leading, producing, and checking ICT and telecommunications designs. You must have underpinning knowledge of network design principles and significant experience working within critical environments.


Other requirements include providing specialist technical support and assistance to major projects, managing allocated junior support staff, expert use of telecommunications design packages, familiarity with health & safety and systems engineering/design assurance requirements, a focus on quality, and a drive for continuous improvement.
