Job Summary

We are seeking a Senior Lead Software Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, testing and integrating device drivers for various devices on our high-performance platforms.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, test and integrate device drivers for Ethernet, I2C, PCIe, SPI, USB, NAND devices
  • Customize Board Support Package (BSP), boot code and device drivers
  • Work closely with hardware engineers in board bringup and qualification through diagnostics packages
  • Develop software solutions for high availability and redundancy
  • Interact with customers to gather requirements, design firmware and ensure quality of deliverables
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams including product management, manufacturing, sales and hardware engineering to design high-performance, cost-effective solutions for storage and switching platforms
Requirements
  • 10+ years of experience implementing device drivers and BSP
  • Strong knowledge of real time operating system concepts, multithreading and SMP
  • Expertise in C, Linux driver programming and kernel architecture
  • Knowledge of Python
  • Outstanding software debugging skills
  • Experience using a full range of hardware test equipment like JTAG debuggers, I2C analyzer etc.
  • Solid understanding of Ethernet PHYs, PCIe, USB, SPI, NAND, I2C and SDRAM
  • Intel x86 architecture and BIOS/UEFI is an asset
Working Conditions
  • Duties performed in a normal office environment
  • Duties may require extended periods of sitting and sustained visual concentration on a computer monitor or numbers and other detailed data
  • Repetitive manual movements are frequently required
  • Occasional travel may be required
