ICT Telecommunications Design Expert

You will be responsible for developing and publishing telecommunications designs to support projects. This includes undertaking detailed designs relating to ICT and telecommunications systems.

  • Structured Cabling Systems (SCS)
  • Communications Rooms and supporting systems including rack elevations
  • Outside Plant Infrastructure (OSP)
  • Active ICT Networks
  • Wireless LAN and Wi-Fi modelling
  • RF Systems
  • Technology platforms and systems

You will also prepare reports, specifications, calculations, and drawings to enable the tendering of works.

Liaising with other engineers, vendors, and contractors is required throughout the duration of the project.

The successful candidate will mentor junior and graduate engineers and work within a multi-discipline design team.

Expertise in ICT and Telecommunications design utilizing standards such as BICSI, ISO, IEEE, Certified Wireless Network Professional Design Guidelines, Cisco and Aruba networking and wireless design guidelines is required.

Responsibilities
  • Developing, analyzing, assessing, and implementing network bandwidth allocation for MPLS converged networks
  • Providing specialist technical support and assistance on major projects
  • Expert use of telecommunications design packages
  • Required Office Software: MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio and Outlook
  • At least one of the following: Visio, Bluebeam, Ekahau, Revit, Autodesk AutoCAD, Aconex
