Job Description
As the Lead-Trade Finance Operations in our Wholesale Banking Trade Ops department, you will be responsible for:
- Managing operational performance, service quality, and control environment of the unit.
- Leading a team of 50+ employees and ensuring they meet their responsibilities.
- Handling multiple products within Trade Finance Operations, including Letters of Credit, Bank Guarantees, and Collection Documents.
- Ensuring adherence to Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and resolving queries on a timely basis.
- Maintaining error-free processing and zero Operation Loss.
- Building strong internal relationships with stakeholders, business heads, and customer interfaces.
- Delivering key performance indicators (KPIs) and ensuring service delivery across client segments.
- Risk & Controls – Identifying risks and ensuring adequate processes and controls are in place.
- Audit & Compliance – Handling multiple audits and ensuring timely closure of audit observations.
- Regulatory Reporting – Ensuring timeliness and accuracy in regulatory submissions.
Required Skills & Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you should have:
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in Trade Finance Operations or a related field.
- An MBA or PGDM degree from a recognized institution.
- Excellent leadership and management skills, with experience leading high-performing teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate risks.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
