Job Title: Tax Compliance Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated professional to work on US tax compliance, preparation, and advisory services.

The successful candidate will prepare US personal (1040), corporate (1120), and trust income tax returns, apply US tax treaty provisions to cross-border tax transactions, assist with sales tax filings and registrations, support tax planning initiatives for cross-border transactions, draft and organize working papers for income tax filings, aid in tax audits with the IRS, including client coordination and document preparation, and work closely with senior staff and partners on tax strategies and planning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare tax returns for various clients, applying relevant tax laws and regulations.
  • Collaborate with senior staff and partners to develop and implement tax strategies.
  • Provide excellent client service, responding to inquiries and addressing concerns in a timely manner.
  • Stay up-to-date on changes in tax laws and regulations, ensuring compliance with all applicable requirements.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their business needs and providing tailored solutions.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision, managing multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Apply project and process management skills, particularly during tax season.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field, with Master's preferred.
  • 1–2 years' experience in tax preparation and review, preferably in public accounting.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with clients and colleagues.
  • Proficiency in tax software, such as Prosystems, FX, Gosystems, and Drake Tax.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines.
  • Proactive, detail-oriented, and committed to continuous professional development.
