Job Opportunity: Indirect Tax Specialist

About the Role:

An experienced Indirect Tax Specialist will assist clients in responding to tax authorities, preparing appeals, and representing clients before judicial forums.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Client Support: Assist clients in responding to tax authorities during enquiries, investigations, and audits.
  • Appeals Preparation: Prepare replies to show cause notices and audit replies.
  • Tax Forums Representation: Meet with tax officers for hearings as required.
  • Legal Preparations: Prepare tax appeals for the Joint Commissioner (Appeals) and Courts.
  • Senior Support: Assist seniors in representations before various judicial forums.
  • Research Development: Conduct comprehensive research on various topics.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Communication Skills: Identify and discuss technical issues with clients while managing firm risk.
  • Tax Expertise: Handle tax matters including preparation of submissions, replies to notices, appeals, and meetings with tax authorities.
  • Project Management: Execute work on multiple client bases, assuming near-independent responsibility for smaller clients.
  • Clients Relationship Building: Develop rapport with middle layers of client management.

  • Staying Updated: Stay abreast of firm-wide and competitor activities, as well as general business trends.
  • Knowledge Application: Apply knowledge to deliver solutions to clients and bring value to the client and manager.
