Job Opportunity: Lead Data Analytics Expert

Role Overview

The company seeks an experienced Senior Data Scientist to drive the delivery of multiple projects within the fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) vertical.

This key role collaborates closely with other data scientists and consultants to convert client queries into actionable analytical solutions while managing a small team of technical analysts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead project teams to ensure high-quality analytics, driving successful delivery of critical FMCG projects.
  • Transform transaction and customer-level datasets into client-ready strategic insights through comprehensive analytics processes.
  • Design and be accountable for solution design, analytical methodology, and quality assurance for analytical projects.
  • Partner with consultants to scope solutions and ensure projects deliver value to clients.
  • Manage and develop a small team of data scientists, providing technical guidance and supporting their growth.
Requirements
  • 6+ years of experience in a highly technical analytics environment, carrying out data analytics or data science work.
  • Advanced proficiency in SQL and experience with large datasets.
  • Well-developed business understanding to translate client needs into analytical solutions.
  • Experience in FMCG/CPG or retail industry is preferred.
  • Experience in supervising work as a senior team member, project manager, or team leader.
  • Proven experience managing both internal and external stakeholders in deadline-driven environments.
  • Experience and interest in people management, mentoring, and development.
  • Tertiary qualifications in engineering, mathematics, actuarial studies, statistics, physics, or a related discipline.
  • Expertise in data preparation, feature engineering, foundational analytics concepts, model development, and training.
