About Role

The ideal person for this role will have experience, skills, and passion necessary to optimize our tech architecture.

Key components include:

  • High-traffic eCommerce websites serving customers around the world
  • Business analytics determining product and catalog selection, customer growth, and retention
  • ERP software managing global operations
  • Software crawling product listings at scale
  • Modules across all functions - including marketing, logistics, customer support, finance etc.
  • Modules supporting workflow, dashboards, and reporting processes for divisions

We seek an analytical, results-driven back-end developer to work with team members to troubleshoot and improve current back-end applications and processes.

The Senior Developer will analyze current code and industry developments, formulate more efficient processes, solve problems, and create a seamless experience for users.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Compiling and analyzing data, processes, and code to troubleshoot problems and identify areas for improvement
  • Collaborating with front-end developers and other team members to establish objectives and design functional, cohesive code to enhance user experience
  • Developing ideas for new programs, products, or features by monitoring industry developments and trends
  • Recording data and reporting it to proper parties
  • Participating in continuing education and training to remain current on best practices and assist other team members
  • Taking lead on projects as needed

Desired Candidate Profile

Experience in computer programming, computer science, or related field, and primary expertise in Ruby on Rails and familiarity with JavaScript front-end technologies.

Strong understanding of web development cycle and programming techniques and tools, with focus on efficiency, user experience, and process improvement.

Excellent project and time management skills, strong problem-solving and verbal and written communication skills, and ability to work independently or with group.
