Senior Web Developer Lead

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Senior Web Developer Lead to lead our web development team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in PHP and CodeIgniter, as well as experience working with cross-functional teams.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the development of complex software applications using PHP and CodeIgniter, collaborating with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and deploy high-quality products, ensuring code quality, maintainability, and performance by performing peer code reviews and unit testing, mentoring team members in adopting best practices in coding, testing, and DevOps, and staying up-to-date with the latest technology trends and advocating for best engineering practices.

  • Strong understanding of core PHP and object-oriented programming principles.
  • Experience working with both legacy (CI 1) and modern (CI 4) versions of the CodeIgniter framework.
  • Strong proficiency in Python.
  • Hands-on experience in designing, optimizing, and managing MySQL databases.
  • Solid knowledge of JavaScript for both client-side functionality and integration with backend services.
  • Experience in performing peer code reviews, ensuring code quality, readability, and adherence to best practices.
  • Familiarity with writing and maintaining unit tests to ensure code reliability and regression prevention.
  • Proficient with Git for version control, branching, and collaborative development.
  • Experience working with RESTful APIs for both consuming and creating endpoints.
  • Understanding of performance tuning on both frontend and backend.
